In a challenging context, Oleoline is delighted to announce that we have decided to go ahead with a 6th Global Glycerine Conference in 2021. The venue has been booked for Thursday 24th and Friday 25th June 2021. A pandemic started about a year ago, with repercussions which were difficult at the time to picture. A global health crisis plunged the world into an economic crisis which is still unravelling. The impact of containing the pandemic has touched all markets, including ours. The price of glycerine has seesawed owing to the slowdown in biodiesel production, offset by the increase in sales of hygiene and food products. At this point, vegetable oil prices have surged, driven by stockpiling from China, while mineral oil values have been undermined by parked cars and flagging demand. HBI, with 35 years of experience in the glycerine market and the support of our network of experts from the industry, has resolved to offer you during a day and a half a complete analysis of the global glycerine market. Our objective is to provide perspectives as to how events will unfold by reviewing the main drivers pertaining to our markets. We will welcome you to the beautiful town of Chantilly – which is 30 min by train from the centre of Paris and a 25 min taxi ride from Charles de Gaulle airport – in a 4-star hotel refurbished in 2020 with an 18-hole golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The cost of 2400 euros (with VAT) includes the conference fees, lunch, cocktail and dinner on Thursday June 24th, one night in the hotel, as well as breakfast and lunch on Friday June 25th.
