Fatty alcohol report is published

Avr 26, 2024
During the COVID pandemic, the situation changed remarkably due to the increasing demand for alcohol-based surfactants, coinciding with highly inflated lauric oils prices, arising from drought and COVID labour restrictions in palm plantations. This situation deteriorated quickly in Q2’22, when the Shanghai COVID lockdown destroyed demand for oleochemicals, just as these lauric oil prices began to soften. Oleoline has just published the bi-annual update of the Global Detergent Alcohol Producers. This report reviews every functioning plant worldwide and provides a feedstock analysis and end-product price review.
