With offices in France, India, China and the US, we are the world's leading brokers of oleochemicals trading around 500,000 mt of product in 2006.

As exclusive agents, we represent a number of blue chip companies such as Unilever and industry market leaders such as Baerlocher.

Consultancy
HBI is an acknowledged independent specialist in the oleochemical industry. We have been a member of a glycerine workshop organized by the European Commission DG XII. HBI is regularly employed as a market consultant by some of the world's largest corporations. We frequently present technical papers at Oleochemical and Biodiesel Conferences worldwide, and articles published in the specialist press.

Bio-energy
At the beginning of 2007, HBI created a 50/50 joint-venture with Singapore-based trading house KemOleo, called HBI Energy SAS (HBE). HBE's brief is to market palm products into Europe focussing on raw materials for the biodiesel industry, for power generation, and on palm methyl ester (PME) for use as biodiesel.

E-commerce
HBI owns an e-commerce site, www.oleoline.com which was launched to serve the oleochemical industry in 2000. Oleoline.com supplies auction services regularly used by multinational organisations as well as a thriving business providing market reports to the industry.
